The clammy humidity finally pushed out of here yesterday afternoon. Today, high of 78 degrees, humidity under 50%.
We knew that we had to get out and do something, anything after two days of moldering in front of a fan.

A hike fit the bill nicely:During the hike, we found some of these:Mmm...wild blueberries! Luckily, we just happened to have brought some containers to collect them with. End result:
Three quarts of blueberries (one quart shown for demonstration purposes). Rockin'.

And knitting...well, over the last two days I made it almost halfway through chart #5 (out of 8 or 9?) of Flirty Ruffles...and I'm still on my first skein of yarn (out of three). It is a slow slog but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. I also finished the fronts for the Trellis cardigan and kitchenered (not sure if that is OK to use as a verb, but what the hey) the shoulder seams:It's supposed to be nice again tomorrow, but alas...back to work.

Dude, nice photography. i'm drooling at my computer looking at those blueberries! And the hike looks amazing. As does Trellis, of course. When are you guys coming to CT next; you have to meet Miles! And, yes, he's a handful. I owe you a real email!

I love inveting new verbs! I'm sure "kitchnered" doesn't spell check, but any knitter out there certainly understood the action.
The blueberries look scrumptious! You are so lucky to live were you do. There are nothing like those wild blueberries you get in New England.
Your Trellis looks great too.

Those look SO yummy. I keep wondering why we don't get those here. The climate is very similar, and there are lots of other berries. Maybe they don't tolerate the higher levels of beer in the groundwater.... ;)

Oh, aren't self picked blueberries the best ever? Yummy, I'm drooling here as well!
And I really love your Trellis, you're doing such great progress with it - looking forward to seeing more of it!

Those are some great pictures.. and I love the cabley goodness of the sweater..

They ship the large board for 18 dollars, and the small for 9. I orrigionally wanted the small one but when we were thinking about it it seemed silly to get the small one when it was just a little more to have the huge one.. I'll be able to block entire sweaters at once on this thing.. which will be SO NICE.

So it came to about 60 dollars when it was all said n done.. Shipping on it is high cause it's huge *and* heavy.. But I still think it was a good purchase.

I'm wondering how "small" the small one is now that I think the big one is so huge.. It might be taht the small one would work perfectly fine.. That one ends up being about 45 dollars with shipping.. so you might wanna think about it.

You're killing me with the cool mountain hike/wild blueberry stuff. How about I send you pix of dead grass and knitted hammocks--well, whenever I get around to making one...or thinking about it...

Yum! Blueberry pancake time, well that's what I'd ask my husband to make with them.
